So by now you’ve probably figured out that I am obsessed with essential oils– I have incorporated them into my beauty, wellness, and cleaning routines at home. Let me tell you- it was a life changing decision! Essential oils are a great way to naturally cure sicknesses, alleviate pain, make perfumes or candles, improve digestion, put in a cleaning spray, aid with skin health, and so much more. Below, I am going to list my current favorite oils (because they are always changing!) and how you can use them.


This oil has a very strong, bright, and fresh scent. It is primarily used for medicinal purposes because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. The many uses include: a decongestant for the common cold, putting in a hot bath to loosen stiff & aching muscles, or as an antiseptic for wounds. Just remember that if you are going to apply directly to your skin, use a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba.

My Main Use for Eucalyptus: I mix several drops of this with a couple of drops of Lemon & Peppermint oils in my diffuser when I have a cold- I haven’t had a sinus headache since!

Peppermint oil is best known for the cooling sensation it releases when used. Great for a body mist in the summertime or as a way to cure indigestion (just put 1-2 drops in warm water!). Because this oil is so highly concentrated and stimulating, it is suggested not to use directly before bedtime. I have always found it be very effective in a diffuser when I am feeling anxious.

Ylang- Ylang

A recent purchase of mine and has now became my number one oil to use! It is an absolutely lovely essential oil with the most unique yet wonderful aroma. Dab some on your wrists and behind your ears to use as a perfume that will also boost your mood & soothe the soul. You can also drop some in your nightly face moisturizer or body lotion to rejuvenate the skin.

My Main Use for Ylang-Ylang: I drop some into the hot water of my shower and create my very own sauna- the released oil combined with the steam will help open your pores and release toxins from your skin.

A really awesome woodsy smell that helps you feel at ease. I love this oil because of all the different ways you can use it! It works great as an insect repellant and also can be used as a way to strengthen your hair follicles or alleviate an itchy scalp. I even know of some people adding it to their deodorant to maximize the efficiency.
