This year, Atlanta is providing a multitude of events and venues where you can eat, drink & be merry! Whether you are looking for somewhere to go on a festive date night, solo adventure or a new family tradition- there is something in here for everyone to enjoy this holiday season.

Visit a Holiday-Themed Bar

There is no better way to embrace the holidays than by sitting in a room that is exploding with colored lights, decorated trees, and jolly stuffed Santas. You can sip on a delicious craft cocktail named after a Christmas song while watching your favorite holiday movie. Miracle Bar has taken over Atlanta this season so be sure to check out one (or more) of their locations. Word to the wise– get there early because the line to get in can be crazy long!

Stroll Through a Garden of Lights

Everyone needs a little light in their lives! It can be a truly magical experience walking through a beautiful, constructed garden of lights with a loved one. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens provides this with their annual Garden Lights, Holiday Nights event from November 17 to January 6. Make sure to bundle up tight and while you are there, grab a hot cocoa from the Snack Bar or stop by the S’mores Station before wandering through!

Explore a German Market

A Christkindl Market is a street market that is associated with the celebration of Christmas in Europe. Lucky for us, Atlantic Station has opened one up right in the middle of their square! The Atlanta Christkindl Market pays homage to German traditions with delicious street foods, beer, hand-crafted products and live entertainment. You can even say hello to Mr. Claus himself at Santa’s Cottage! So when you are done shopping for holiday gifts, check out this great event- it will last until December 23.

Embrace the Cold

Ponce City Market has converted their Rooftop Terrace into a wonderland of all things winter! Skate the Sky presents you with the opportunity to ice skate in the stars. So, while you are busy trying not to fall down, you can appreciate skyline views of Atlanta. As a bonus, igloos have been installed so that you can keep warm while munching on festive treats and sipping hot drinks. Rent one of these heated havens and invite friends for a holiday affair!
